When you think about time you think of seconds, minutes, hours, weeks, months, years and even decades.
When you think about a day you certainly think 24 hours, at least for the time being.
The alarm clock goes off and the first thing you say to yourself is that you don’t have time. You go on thinking that you are too busy and you don’t know how you will fit in all that you have to do in just 24 little hours.
As you repeat to yourself the same I don’t have time mantra consistently, all the time, you notice that stress and anxiety are building up. That’s when you know you are working against time.
When you get home at the end of the day, you are exhausted.
That’s when time becomes a liability.
One day though, when the alarm clock goes off you say to yourself that you have time. And the mantra then becomes I have time to do all that I have to do in just 24 little hours. That’s when you notice that stress and anxiety are under control because you realise that you can plan your day. You work with time.
Time then becomes an asset.
Even when the unexpected happens in any given day, there is no panic, because your mindset is that of having time to prioritise and whenever possible delegate tasks to others.
With this mindset, when you get home at the end of the day you enjoy having time to have time to yourself, you enjoy having time to do the things that bring you joy and satisfaction.
That’s when you see time as a gift, a gift that you give to yourself first and to others.
Let’s take action right now.
Choose to work with time; choose to see time as an asset.
Choose to give the gift of your time to yourself first and then to others and notice how you feel.
If at this very moment in time you are already screaming that you don’t have time, then let’s have a chat.
