You always come first
Before you get angry at me, before you get outraged and before you think that this is pure selfishness, allow me to explain
As you may already know all of us see the world through different lenses in the same way as all of us experience and navigate reality in different ways.
Let me throw one more idea in this mix, your now moment as well as your circumstance are unique to you and only to you.
When you decide to listen to what people think about you, your reality and the way you see the world, do so with curiosity and choice instead of taking it as the only possibility.
Curiosity if what they are saying is relevant to you or if it resonates and supports you. If so, then you think about how you can adapt their opinion to your lifestyle.
Choice if what they are saying has nothing to do with you. If what they are saying is completely irrelevant to you or if it doesn’t add any value to you. In this case, choose to reject and let go of their opinion without hesitation. Allow yourself to ignore their narrative because even considering their opinion is a waste of your time.
Let’s take action right now.
Always keep in mind that you are unique in your own way. How you choose to live your life is not right or wrong, it is just different.
Bear in mind that your circumstances and your now moment are different from the other.
You may accept suggestions and even agree with them or not. It is your choice.
No matter what the other has to say to you in any given now moment, what’s really important and what you should care about the most is what you think about yourself; how you take care of yourself.
You always come first. You cannot care about the other, you cannot help the other, you cannot consider the other if you don’t care for yourself first.
The reason being is that it is dangerous. Dangerous because by putting the other first you lose the sense of yourself, of who you truly are.
