Last week, we discussed how to get rid of fear and why do we feel it. So, today I’d like to talk to you about a fear that is a problem. It may not be the number one fear but it’s pretty much up there.

It’s fear of Public Speaking.

What is interesting about Fear of Public Speaking is that no matter how many people there are in the room, just the fact you are put on the spot, that you’ll be the centre of attention, to deliver a message you know is relevant freaks you out!

You freeze with fear, and you go “uh, bu, bu…” and your message is not clear.

So, for example, at a networking meeting, you are asked to stand up.

You have to introduce yourself. Say what you do and how you can help potential clients.
Probably, you start sweating. If you manage to push through the fear of public speaking, you start babbling away. Certainly, your message doesn’t get across.

Or in an interview situation where you are asked to deliver a small presentation on a subject that you know very well.

You may be an expert, but because of the Fear of Public Speaking, you mess it up, potentially not getting the job.

It may even happen at a meeting where you are not doing the presentation, you’re just attending it.

You might have an important question, but because of the Fear of Public Speaking, you don’t ask it. No matter if you know that it is relevant for you and perhaps for the people you manage.

In all these cases, you have a message that you know that it is relevant and that can help a lot of people.

If the Fear of Public Speaking stops you from doing that, then book your 30-minute free consultation.
