What do you do with a problem: bury it in the sand or solve it?
What do you do when you have a problem?
Do you bury it in the sand? And if you do so, what happens then?
Let’s say you have a problem; any problem, and you naturally feel uncomfortable and perhaps a little annoyed with it.
And let’s say you choose not to deal with it, you choose to ignore it.
What happens then? After a while that uncomfortable feeling gets stronger and stronger that you decide to bury the problem deep inside, in the sand.
Now that the problem is buried you may think that if you don’t see it, if you don’t feel it and if you don’t think about it, or even talk about it, the problem
will eventually disappear.
Guess what? The problem will not disappear. And you know that. You know that nothing stays buried forever and yet you choose to ignore the problem.
However, in time you may get used to the problem to the point that you stop having the problem and start doing it.
Ignoring a problem: What does it mean to do a problem?
You do a problem when you develop behavioural patterns as a consequence of the problem; your actions and reactions are related to the problem.
You feel the problem, you think like the problem and you behave like the problem.
If by now you are wondering what to do, here’s the first part of this week’s challenge.
Pay attention to the problem, be aware of it, be curious about how to solve it and if you are stuck ask someone to help you.
