The importance of memory
Memories are like a photo album.
What is a photo album for?
We take pictures because we want to capture and perpetuate a moment in time. A moment in time that makes us happy and that we are proud of.
We take pictures of birthdays, weddings, graduations, holidays, perhaps of the first car or the first house we bought.
Looking at any of these pictures immediately triggers something good inside of us such as happiness, joy, pride and those feelings make us smile.
It is the same with memories. When we think about something or someone that we like we immediately feel good, nourished and comforted.
The advantage of memories over pictures is that you can access a memory that makes you feel good anywhere, in the quiet of your room or in the middle of a traffic jam.
If you are feeling a bit off or sad, you can pick a memory that lifts you up and makes you smile.
So, let’s take action right now.
Whenever you are feeling off, under the weather or whenever you feel that your energy levels need a boost, pick a memory to help you. A memory that makes you smile, a memory that comforts you or a memory that lifts you up and gives you strength to keep going until you achieve all that you want for yourself.
Then once you have this memory, see how you feel.
Your unconscious mind works as a database of all your memories.
Choose memories that make you feel good, that support you and encourage you whenever you need them.
As you have a photo album of your best pictures, you can also make a memory album of your best memories so when you need them at any given moment, they will be there.
Now, if your best memories are a bit blurred at the moment then let’s have a chat.
